The daily cost of living

Budget per month (based on the 2007-2008 academic year) :

  Room in town : 235 to 550 € / month
  Meals at university cafeteria (2.85 € x 60 meals) : 171 €
  Transport by bus : 27,50 €
  Renting a bike : 4 € (+ a deposit of 35 €, paid at your arrival, returned to you when you hand it back before your departure).

Accomodation :

We book lodging for you before your arrival.
If you get financial aid from the French government (’Aide Personnalisée au Logement’ or ’Allocation Logement’), it must be deducted from the amount of the price indicated above.

Meals :

The city of Angers has three universitary cafeterias opened for lunchtime and dinner.
Price of the meal : 2.85 € for 2007-2008.

Miscellaneous expenses :

Leisure, school stationery, clothes, etc... : to plan 100 to 200 € / month, according to your choices, tastes ... and budget.
NB : Student reductions available.

Banks :

Choose preferably a bank with an international function.
